HBS Engineering is an engineering consulting company owned by Henrik Blicher Schmidt. The company started in May 2006 and have since then supported the Nordic companies and research institutions.

HBS is one of the leading scientist in modeling of Friction Stir Welding - and offer consultancy for companies and universities.

Our task is support other companies in the development of mechanical compontents which are subjected to mechanical or thermomechanical loading. Extensive use of Finite Element software is utilized for validation and optimization of the design.

The office/workshop is placed in Glostrup, Denmark.
